I normally associate Blaine with a boy, but I can't say that I totally hate it for a girl, it just wouldn't be my first choice.

I prefer Blaine for a boy. I do like the similar Blaire for a girl.

Sorry for shooting down your names, but they really aren't my style and this one isn't either. I'm probably not the best person to ask as I don't like unisex names much though. I think Blair is cute, which is similar.

It's definitely different. I think a bold move for a girl.

I like it but Blayne popped in my head when I read it.

It's not a name I'd choose personally, but I do think it's cute. I like Blair also, which someone suggested.

Boys names for girls are NMSAA, but in this case I'm not too fond of it for a boy either. I don't know why, maybe the sound of it, but it's just sort of blah and bland to me.

Have to agree ... to me, Blaine is just "plain" for either sex. As many pps mentioned, it does remind me of Blair (but I don't care that either - always seemed so nasal and snobbish - I guess neither is really my style).

i think i like blayna. and then you could call her blaine or whatever spelling for short. having an a at the end makes it seem more girly.
