Hello All,

I have an almost 18 month old daughter named Clever Marie Laforce. Her baby brother is due February 7, 2007 and we have yet to pick a middle name for him. His first name is going to be Whit (as it thematically goes with Clever)and his last name LaForce (which is strength in French). Please help us fill in the blank.

Whit _____ LaForce

Thank you.

If you really named your daughter Clever...well okay. But please rethink Whit. Immediately what came to mind was Whit-the-"Insert female body part that rhymes with Whit". Any who would want to do that to anyone, especially a boy?

No it's not a joke. But you're a very rude person.

hi.

where you went with more of a unique first name for both children, perhaps, as you did with your first, you could go with an older, more traditional name, or maybe a common family name.

Whit Anderson LaForce
Whit Johnstone LaForce (Johnson, Jonson, etc)
Whit Manning LaForce
Whit Robert LaForce
Whit Orson LaForce
Whit Alexander LaForce

Best of luck!

I'm not sure how Whit goes with Clever thematically.

Actually, yes, I have considered Whitman. That's what I want to name him, but his father doesn't like the "man" on the end, but does like Whit. As far as theme, I'm aware of the difference between Whit and Wit. I just prefer the spelling Whit better for a name.

I get what you're saying about feedback and I'm open to it when it's put in a respectful way. But that person didn't ask, 'is this a joke,' but said, "please tell me this is a joke." There's a difference in tone there that implies that even if it's not a joke, it should be. Put plainly, it's rude. Besides, I'm a hormonal, 7 months pregnant, woman so I'm allowed a bit of sensitivity in the matter.

Thanks for your input.

Thank you. I really like Miles, as a middle or first name. My grandfather is a jazz fan so I grew up listening to Miles Davis. Actually, Whit Davis isn't bad either. Thanks for helping me brainstorm.
