Actually, Braelyn would not be my choice. It reminds me of the verb "to bray" -- like donkeys braying. Plus, it wouldn't be that different, since it is so close in sound to the currently very popular Braeden.
But if you want a similar name -- in terms of being different, but not too different -- what about Caelyn/Kaylin or Keelin? Or if you want "B" names -- Bronwyn? Brinley? Brenna? Britta? Briar? even Briarlyn?
I don't really like it. It's just not my style. It doesn't sound bad, though. It has something of a pretty sound. I just wouldn't choose it personally. But, I also have to add that it seems similar in style to Kyndall, so I think the two would really, REALLY go well together!
