I thought Sutton was a odd name for a girl with a southern accent (not a bad name, just harder for southerner's to pronounce). LOL. Well now they are saying it's Jayden James Federline and have obtained a copy of the birth certificate. Guess Brit gets the last laugh for people buying into all the rumors...

There is a thread about this in the Games and Fun section. I think the whole thing is ridiculous. I hate when celebrities use their children for attention.

(And, for the record, my Southern accent doesn't make it at all difficult for me to say Sutton. I actually think Sutton is MUCH more Southern than Jayden.)

Thanks. I didn't see that.

For the ones who said that they are exploiting the child for attention... how? They never announced the baby name at all! All the gossip magazines said it was Sutton Pierce, not once did Brit's people confirm this name. So it's the fault of the gossip mags for making up a name or going with an unreliable source.

I have a slight southern accent and do not like how I say Sutton. In my family we have the "Grandma test". If we don't like how our grandma pronouces it, it goes out the door. My cousin x'd "Sara" off her list because of the way grandma put the southern drawl on it. I could only imagine how she would say Sutton, and I guarantee you those t's would not get pronounced at all, it would be Suuuuu'eeeennn. So it would all depend on what type of southern accent you have (as they do vary) and how strong your drawl is.

I have never known one person named Sutton from the south. Of course I am still working on meeting each and every person currently in the bible belt. I should be done by the end of the month. ;-)

Well, I hope it's not Jayden - that is the female spelling!! (Sorry I am a little adamant about this. I have a boy Jaden, and this bugs me.)

I don't know much about the Jayden/Jaden name, but I personally think Jayden looks more masculine. . . as in nn Jay.

Because they got more attention and more press coverage by keeping the name a secret.
