Brynn, Bridget...?

We really like the name Brynn, because it is sophisticated and somewhat unique. I also love the name Bridget because of a wonderful friend I have with that name. Which do you prefer? Are there other similar names that are still traditional? Any suggestions for a middle name?

I prefer Bridget. Brynn just always seems very nicknamey to me, while I can easily picture Bridget on an adult, KWIM? I also think it's great that you'd be honoring your friend with the name Bridget.

A nice, feminine mn would flow very well ...

Bridget Alanna(h)
Bridget Amelia
Bridget Lenore/Lenora
Bridget Guinevere
Bridget Cecilia
Bridget Emeline
Bridget Lorna
Bridget Mairona (MEH-roh-nah)
Bridget Aoife (EE-fa)
Bridget Eloise
Bridget Niamh

You might also like Branwen (could even use Brynn as a nn).

I like both Brynn and Bridget...although Brynn has a much softer, prettier sound.
How about:
Brynn Elizabeth
Brynn Victoria
Brynn Isabel
Brynn Caroline

I like Brynn and Bridget. I think Brynn is my favorite of the two - probably just because I've known a couple of Bridgets I wasn't a huge fan of :)

What about Blaine? My cousin used this for her little girl and I love it. Another nice one is Blair/Blaire. Or Bess, it's short and traditionally feminine if that's a concern.

I really like both. They are both different so it's hard to compare. I suggest going to the hospital with both and seeing what she looks like. If you have a 1-syllable last night, then I wouldn't use Brynn as it would be choppy (ex. Bridget Smith sounds better than Brynn Smith). You could also use Brenna as a similar option.

How about looking back into your family tree and choosing a mn from there, or after someone you want to honour? That way your daughter has signiicance to her name and it will be special to her.

If not...

Brynn Mariana
Brynn Amelia
Brynn Theodora
Brynn Francesca
Brynn Lilianna

Bridget Simone
Bridget Corinne or Bridget Karina
Bridget Elise
Bridget Naomi
Bridget Sage
Bridget Adele

I slightly prefer Brynn over Bridget, though both are good choices.
