I always have to pause at the CPK display and read the names. I remember being in 2nd grade and they always seemed so exotic. What were your CPKs names?? These were mine:

Octavia Page
Zara Bernice
Wanda Emmy
Coral Tyne
Cleo Barbabra
Elmo Kent
Ty Ricky

My best friend had
Manda Jean
Yvette _?_
Ursa Isabelle
Daphne Lucetti (I remember thinking it was Daphne Lettuce!)
and twins Loretta Jane and Lynette Michelle

Maybe someone will find inspiration ;)

My first Cabbage Patch Kid was Anette. I was only in Kindergarten when I got my first one so I don't remember both names. The next CPK I had was Agatha Suzzete.

Brother's was Gerald, Sister's was Janette.

A lot of mine seemed to rhyme! LOL Here's a list of the ones I remember from mine, my sister's and my brother's (yes, he got one when he was 1 or 2 "so he didn't feel left out" ROFL):

Gene Alec (my brother's ... but for some reason he called him Bubba LOL)
Anna Gabrielle (my first!)
Dorita Lita (sister's first ... I always thought mine's name was prettier, because I thought hers was named after the snack chip hehehe)
Paddy Gilchrist
Mavis Constance
Samantha Renee
Chad Allen
Lynnette Page
Meredith Anne(tte) (forget which)

Mine were:

Cornelle Sissy
Aprilette Eliza
Woodward Woody
Sebastian Marcel
JoAnne Cicely

There were 2 more that I can't remember. We always changed their names right away.

We changed their names a lot too. My sister and I both got newborns one year and changed them to our parents' names (she had Cynthia Lee and I had Richard James Michael LOL).

Remember they'd send you a new birth certificate with the new name and a card in the mail on the baby's "birthday?" Well not anymore! I got the girls each one for Christmas, and it tells you how you can go online to change their names or birthdates and then PRINT OUT a new birth certificate, and you can also sign up to receive an e-card on their birthday! CPKs have gone high-tech (and low postage LOL). ;)

I don't remember all of mine, but some were:

Shauna Suzanna
Cordelle Reht (nicknamed him "Cordy" cause I hated his name, as if "Cordy" is better!)
Riva Crystal
Jeffrey Ryan (my mom bought it because that's my brother's name!)

I never changed their names b/c it just felt wrong. LOL!

Here are mine and my brother's:
Trina Inessa
Cora Eleanor
Glenice Sonya
Casey Warner
Austin Shea
Russell Sherman

I thought all of them were kinda weird names at the time, but now I really like Katrina (nn Trina) and Eleanor (nn Nora). I think Cora, Sonya, Austin, and Russell are nice, too.

I feel weird for remembering my CPK doll's names!

The first one I had was named Shawn Elizabeth (I called her Shawnie) and I thought it was the most beautiful name. Later in life, I was let in on a few, um, secrets about Shawnie's origins that had flown over my head when I'd first received her -- apparently, she was bought secondhand, packaged as "officially" as my grandmother could muster and given a name by my mother (which is, incidentally, the same as my cousin's name). So, while Shawn Elizabeth will always be my favorite of my Cabbage Patch Kid memories, I suppose her name doesn't really count.

Then there was Carolina Lily, which I *hated*. I just got so used to saying it that I didn't notice anymore, but I remember not liking that doll as much as the others because I thought she was stupid and prissy. The doll. Stupid and prissy. The only thing I think that cold have made me think that is her name -- I haven't ever liked frilly girl names, I guess! (For the record, I no longer think it sounds stupid or prissy. It's just not my style.)

I had Rudy Kevin who was my "best friend," and when the dog ate him when I was 10, I got a "replacement" (my parents just didn't understand!!) named Jonas Michael. Then came Corbin Jesse. I didn't like either of those names and never really took to those dolls.

My friends' dolls were Abigail Beth, Shauna Erica, Natalie Leah, Ursula Jean (I *adored* that name and have no idea why anymore), Gregory Rhett, Wesley Thomas, and I've forgotten the others.

I am a bit fuzzy on the middle names but the first names I do remember:

Serena
Emma
Theodore
Serg (Preemie)

I want the job of the person who gets to come up with the CPK names!!

I only had one store-bought CPK doll and I was so little when I got her, I don't think I even paid attention to what her name was. My other two CPK dolls were homemade. I named them myself. But for that period in time, their names weren't very creative. They were Jennifer, Jessica, and Melissa.
