Cade vs Caden

Hi - we are thinking of using Cade/Caden if our baby is a boy. We both like Cade better but the middle name will be Luke and we are not sure if two one syllable names sound okay together. What do you think? More than likely if we used Caden we would just end up calling him Cade all the time anyway...

I like Cade much better. To me Caden seems to be made up and is too trendy (like Braden, Jaden, etc). If Cade Luke is too choppy sounding for you you might want to try Cade Lucas.

I have a friend who named her baby Caden in July. Everyone calls him Cade all the time, so either way you will probably end up with the same result. My opinion is to name the baby Caden Luke, and then have him go by Cade. Good luck with your decision.

I agree that Cade sounds the best. It's strong and stands well with Luke. Caden falls into the current "-den" (Brayden, Hayden, Jayden) craze too much, in my opinion.

Good luck!
