I need some opinions. We are expecting our third baby. My ds is 3 and is named Lukas Isaiah. I lost a baby at 22 weeks earlier this year and we named her Ava Caroline. I am currently 25 weeks pregnant and we don't know if we are having a girl or a boy. So far we are not "in love" with any names. KWIM??? We are considering using Caroline for a girls name, but I am not sure how we feel about this little one feeling that she is named after her big sister that died. Anyway, here are my lists, let me know what you think. Any suggestions of names that you think are the same style are appreciated also. We seem to like alot of "L" names, but are not sure we want to have two children with "matching" names. We are a little worried about Luke and Lily...KWIM?

Hi there. I really like the names Lukas Isaiah; it's handsome. Here are my thoughts on your current lists-
boys
Levi-Oh, that's nice. It's uncommon, but well known. Do you think that you'll have any more children? Perhaps two L children wouldn't be so bad, but if you plan on more than you don't want to feel obligated to stick to the theme, you know?
Eli-This is really nice too, although I perfer it as a nn for Elias.
Jude-I love this one.
They're all great, but Levi actually seems to sound best w/Lukas, imo.
girls
Katherine (Kate)-This is nice, but so very over done.
Charlotte-Aw, I like that.
Caroline-I really like this one. It sounds nice w/Lukas too. I personally think it's fine to name her after the mn of her big sister. It's a nice way to remember her.
Camille-This isn't my personal favourite, but that's really only because I can't stand Cami (no offense to anyone!). Camille on it's own isn't bad, & I like the uncommon factor. It's still classic & reconizable though, which is good.
Amelia (probably too popular)-I love this name. It's not all that popular in my area at least. Certainly no more than Kate or Lily.
Lily (DH really loves this one)-I love Lily. I perfer it as a nn for perhaps Lillian or Liliana. Lukas & Liliana nn Lily would be sweet.
Margaret (possible middle name after my grandmother)-Honestly, Margaret is nms. It'd be nice for a mn to honour your grandmother though. If you do use it as a fn, perhaps the nn Maggie would be nice.
I like Amelia best from your girl list, & it works nicely w/Lukas. I love Lily too, but perferably as a nn. Luke & Lily do seem a bit more over the top cute than Luke/as & Levi do for some reason.
Hope this helps!
Levi - very nice
Eli - very nice
Jude - okay
Katherine (Kate)- Great name. I like this alot and like the nn Kate.
Charlotte - okay
Caroline - lovely name, but I would not use it since your 1st daughter had the mn Caroline.
Camille - okay
Amelia (probably too popular) - nice name
Lily (DH really loves this one) - pretty
Margaret (possible middle name after my grandmother) - I dont care for Margaret - too old fashioned for me. How about using Megan or Margot to honor grandma?
Katherine Amelia sounds lovely!
Katherine Margot
Katherine Lily
Lily Megan
Good Luck!
Really fast- is it the sound of Lily that he likes or the image?
Sound:
Millie, Milly: names on their own or short for Amelia, Emilia, Millicent
Tillie, Tilly: nn for Matilda, Mathilde or Tilda
Image:
Rose
Violet
Hazel
Iris
Poppy
Daisy
Ivy
Dahlia
Flora
Clover
June (no idea why, but I associate lilies with June apparently)
I like Amelia nn Milly- Luke and Milly?

Eli would fit nicely with Luke and still has an "L" sound to it. Plus, it has a an enduring, traditional feel just like Luke. (Have you thought about Liam?)
For a girl, I am partial to Lily. I've always loved the name Lillian. The name is so delicate and sweat.
My brother in-laws parents liked "J"s. Their childern were James, Joseph, Jennifer and Jane. I always thought the names sounded great together and stood-up well on their own. If you prefer "L" names, go with it.

Here are my opinions...
boys
Levi- Not my favorite for some reason. I am not sure I like Luke and Levi.
Eli- I think this is my favorite of your choices. I prefer it as a nickname to Elijah or something like that. Lukas and Elijah really work nicely together as Luke and Eli.
Jude- It is a good name, but again, not my favorite. I think there are too many women named Jude.
Here are some other ideas for boys that I think would flow well with Luke:
Connor
Coleman (Cole for short)
Owen (but I just realized that there are actors who are brothers who are Owen and Luke... oops)
Noah
girls
Katherine (Kate)- A beautiful classic name. It has always been one of my favorites and goes well with Luke.
Charlotte - another really good choice.
Caroline - I think it works better as a middle name. I don't think the use in her big sister's name should stop you from this one, though.
Camille - Nice, but doesn't seem to flow as well with Luke or Lukas.
Amelia (probably too popular) - My favorite name for you. This is really not popular at all, especially compared to some of your other names. In 2004 it was #96 (katherine was #35 and Lily was #52)
Lily (DH really loves this one)- I think it is pretty. I agree with pp that it should be a nn for a longer name like Liliana. I am not to fond of Luke and Lily together though. I agree with you that it might be over-the-top.
Margaret (possible middle name after my grandmother)- GREAT middle name. I don't like it as a first name, but is a wonderful mn to honor a grandmother.
My favorite girl name is Amelia, but Katherine is a very close 2nd.
I hope this helps.
