Can't agree on name

My partner and I love the first name we have picked for our due in 3 weeks daughter. But he didn't like the middle I picked. months have gone by and now he says he likes the name but i don't want him to say he likes the name unless he honestly does. It's his child too so I want his input, so does he really like the name or just trying to satisfy me?

Please help me I haven't got long....

I don't think any of us could tell you whether he actually likes the name or not - unless you have real life friends who post on this board ;)
While the name is not my style, I'd go for it since you both say you like it. Your partner may not have liked it at first, but often a name will grow on someone over time, especially if they've been calling the baby by that name. Good luck!

Based on my experience, I recommend that you take him at his word.

I have found that with my husband he won't like something for a while but after he has heard it a few times he seems to come around. Although I don't know your partner, I would just take his word for it. HTH Angie.

I would take him at his word and assume the name has grown on him - my DH does this all the time. He'll HATE a name, and then after a while, decide it's okay, and end up liking it in the end! Of course, he'll unfortunately go the other way, too - starting by loving a name and ending up refusing to even consider it.

Either way, if your SO says go for it, I would go for it!

Since he says he likes it, and it's only the MIDDLE name, I would worry too much. How many times is he actually going to hear it?

Maybe he's just trying to be agreeable, I don't think any of us can really say for sure. It's nmsaa, and I wouldn't know how to pronounce it but if he's agreed to it then I guess your baby's name is decided.
