Hey, it's me, Ginger (previously username Grantson). I've wondered about you so much in the past year or so... I rea
I read your post on the K sibling question!!! I knew immediately it was you (in fact, I almost used you for an example when I answered the same post LOL)--- I'm dying of suspense--- what IS the name of Eva and Erik baby sib???
Hope all is well! Ginger

Hi Ginger - glad to hear from you!!! You remember you helped me with choosing Erik's name too right -- he is now 3 1/2! Time flies.
Well Baby #3 arrived on 3-4-05 and didn't have a name for 24 hours! After all my hours and hours of thinking on it! He does have a name now though - Connor Luke. So it is:
Eva Faith
Erik Paul
Connor Luke
So since I have your ear do you want to help with #4? (who is not quite on the way but may be soon - who knows - since we needed longer than 9 months last time to decide I thought it might be best to start early!) IF and when they arrive they will complete our family.
All 3 dc's middle names honor family members so we want to keep up with that. My dh's mn used to be Noel, as his father's. My mn is Rochelle. So probably for baby 4 we would use Noel or Nolan for a boy and Noelle for a girl for mn. That was the easy part!
Like I said in the post about repetative letters I really feel strongly that we could not have another 'E' name to be fair to little Connor. So here some ideas we have been tossing around for both a boy or a girl.
Boys I always have trouble with. What do you think of any of these?
Kyle
Ryan
Cade
What else can you suggest? I always liked Henry for Connor but when it came time to name him that he just wasn't a Henry.
Girls are a bit easier for me to find ones I like. Topping my list (right now) are:
Audrey (we have liked this forever)
Delaney (I love the nn 'Lanie')
Carys
Maryn
Lia (love the name but not the meaning)
What other might work? I seem to be drawn to 'L' and 'A' names for girls but 'C' and 'K' names seem to flow when I say all 4 names together (which I realize won't always be the case but for many years it will happen).
Thanks in advance - you always have the best ideas!!!!
Welcome to the world, little Connor Luke...uh...a little late...!!!
Just wanted to let you know- I read your post (I'm quite busy these days and don't get to check in like I used to). I will put on my thinking cap though, and answer back in a bit.
The three sibs (so far) a fab trio of names!!! I also really like the mn you are considering for a possible #4.
I'll be back in touch shortly
Take care; it's great to talk to you again- you have been in my thoughts many, many times in the last year+.

Okay, just playing here, for the sake of entertainment because...you know how I am!!!
Right now, the name that is screaming at me is to complete the family is...
Anders Noel... Oooh, yummy altogether.
Another that has grabbed my attention, in your case, is Gavin...
While I'm not wild about Gavin Noel (the running together of the n's) they do have a certain flavor together...I am also really drawn to a D- name, It completes the family IMO, lol.
With-
Eva Faith
Erik Paul
Connor Luke
Just off the top of my head---
GIRLS
***Darrah Noelle***
Danica Noelle
Dacey Noelle
Delaina Noelle--- Delaney also works here! Not great running into Noelle, though...
Deirdre Noelle
Another thought- Daniella Noe (noey)- Still gets the Elle in from your name, and dh's name too.... Eva, Erik, Connor and Daniella is just fab!
Maeve Noelle
Scarlett Noelle
Johanna (I LOVE this with the others, but there's that problem AGAIN of the n's with Noelle).
Gemma Noelle
Jessa Noelle
If you're stuck on A or L, I'm thinking-
Adelaide Noelle
Anneliese Noelle
Lydia Noelle
Liza Noelle
C- names that might deserve some mulling over-
Cadence Noelle
Cambree Noelle
Cami Noelle
Though she lacks the grace of Eva... with all three of these.
That's why I suggested Calla or...Cora...!
Cecilia Noelle
Charity Noelle
Clarice Noelle
I also LOVE Carina with the others but not with Noelle...It's not a terrible combo, though. Just a lot of n... Ditto Christiana.
BOYS
Dane Noel (again, those double n's) but I DO LOVE Erik, Connor & Dane!
Dallas Noel- No, I'm not crazy. This is just totally edgy with the other three...
Clark Noel
Channing is one of my all-time faves. Sounds great with family. Channing Noel...ahh...
Garrett Noel
Trent Noel
Ramsey Noel
Shaw Noel
Levi Noel
Jace Noel
Also, Nolan, as the first name, is fantastic with the others.
That's all for now!

Hi Ginger! Thanks!
Okay - I love Delaina! I have always loved Elena but didn't want to use it since that would make Connor the only not E name. Definitely adding it to my list! Others I hadn't thought of that I really liked - Daniella (very nice - another family name we could use is Lane - Daniella Layne?), and Cecilia (although the meaning is not great). I really like Annelise but had ruled it out because of too many 'Anna-somethings' in the family. I really like Elise as well but the 'E' problem again.
Boys - ugh! I just don't like boy's names I guess. I can never find anything that I just love. I like the idea of Nolan as a first name but not sure what I would use for a mn then. Only other family name is ironically Ryan (nothing against Nolan Ryan but I just can't do that). I like Anders on paper but saying it out loud - I just can't imagine using it. Jace is probably my favorite from your new suggestions. I have been thinking of Alek lately?
Thanks - I'll keep thinking on these.
Yes, Delaina would be a lovely match. So would Daniella Layne/Lane. Plus, it's in keeping with the single syllable mn...
Boys ARE harder for me too. I'll keep thinking. If you like Jace, then I might have some others stored away somewhere you'd be interested in.
I have also thought of Alec in your case. It's GREAT with Connor and Eva but I just think it's too close to Erik.
I'll be in touch...
Take care, Ginger
Ginger
Still thinking...
Eva Faith
Erik Paul
Connor Luke &
Fletcher Noel
Garrett Noel
Ross Noel
Kyra Noelle
Greta Noelle
Celia Noelle
And I'm taken with Fallon but not in combo with Noelle.
Still liking Daniella too! Later, Ginger

Ginger -- I had forgotten how much I love Kyra! Do you think it is too popular? (or will become so?) I had major hang-ups with 'Connor' on this issue. I am a bit frustrated as well with 'Eva' (as it has continued to gain momentum in her 5 years) although at the same time breathing a sigh of relief that it hasn't caught on like 'Ava'. But what's done is done and each of my kids really ARE their names.
Of course you are right on 'Alek' - saying it out loud - way too close. What are your thoughts on 'Cade'?
Well, here are my thoughts---and you will recall, I'm quite honest...
IMO, there is a difference between well-used, popular AND trendy.
Erik is the most well-used of your children's names, but not at all trendy.
Connor, if all its variants are combined, is the most popular and also part of 3 ongoing trends- C-names, surnames, and Irish names.
Eva will be the one that travels up the charts most significantly during your children's lives because it is part of the most current trend- old, short, sweet, E- names for girls, and is riding on the coattails of Emma, Ava, and Ella.
That's my long answer to your short question--- "I had forgotten how much I love Kyra! Do you think it is too popular? (or will become so?)" *** Kyra is also short, sweet, and old. I do believe it will continue to rise, but will always trail behind ANY of your other 3 children's names in popularity.
HERE'S WHY I REALLY LIKE IT- Take ANY of your 3 kids' names separately. They sound great with it. Eva & Kyra, Erik & Kyra, Connor & Kyra. Also, certain names will manipulate your other three into sounding trendy. Kyra does not. As a whole, all four names maintain their integrity, IMO.
Which leads me to your second question--- "What are your thoughts on 'Cade'?" I'm a Cade fan, for about the last 12 years. Unfortunately, it has lost its old, strong, English roots and become simply another cute C- name for boys... Unlike Kyra, IMO, when it is mixed with your other 3, they all together, become more trendy, where you could positively pinpoint what decade they were born in... ALSO, there's a certain matchy cuteness to Eva & Erik, Conner & Cade, that doesn't appeal to me. Don't get me wrong, Cade is a great name- that's why it's experiencing pockets of trendiness. It grows up fantastically with a male AND it's easy to spell/recognize. It's just not the best choice for you, IMO.
Those are my thoughts for now...
Stay in touch; I will continue to think on this...
