What are your thoughts on the name Amberlyn?
Do you think it sounds nice with our sons name, Connor?

Connor & Amberlyn ?

Would the pronunciation be AM-ber-lyn or Am-ber-LYN?

I prefer just Amber. Amberlyn is a bit too much, KWIM?

I have never been a fan of Amber names. Also, to me Amberlyn looks made-up and a little too cutesy - sorry. While I can picture a Madelyn all grown-up, I just do not see Amberlyn aging well. What about Adelyn? I really like Connor! Have you thought about going with another Irish type name?

Here are some thoughts: Connor and...
Fiona - this is my favorite with Connor
Alaina
Brenna
Tegan
Tierney
Tessa
Maeve
Maggie
Leila
Molly

good luck!

I think it sounds a little too made up. If you really like it, perhaps you could go with Amber Lynn?

I know an Amberlyn. She's ten years old. Before knowing this child I had never heard the name but it suits her well. I like it better than just Amber.

this name is nms. i am huge into music, especially christian rock, and there is a band called Anberlin. while the association is not exactly negative and the band is not as well known as, say nickleback, for example, personally i would think of the band every time i saw your dds name. congratulations and good luck!

I'm afraid I have to agree with most of the others - it sounds a bit made up like you are combining two people's names. However, if you love it and are going to be upset if you don't use it I would say just use it. Once it is associated with a cute little girl it won't bother anyone!

It's not my style...I've never liked Amber and adding Lynn to the end just makes it sound "made-up" to me. It also reminds me of Anna Nicole Smith's daughter's name: Dannielynn, which is pretty horrible. Plus, anything that woman does is reason enough to run the other direction if you ask me! How about:

Amanda Lynn (much nicer to my ear than Amberlyn, but similar feel. Manda Lynn is a cute nn)
Adalyn
Alanna
Adriana
Allegra
Alyssa/Alissa
Arabella
Ariana
Angelica (you might like this more than Amanda)
Angelina
Amelia
Allison

Good luck!
