hey there,
watched last of the moheekans (horrible speller!) and I now love the name Cora. Is that a popular name? I've never heard it. What'chall think?

It was my great grandmother's name. It fits right in with the trend for old-fashioned names but it's not very popular. I think it's a great name.

A beautiful, old-fashioned name that isn't popular (refreshing!). ;)

Not my favorite name, but it is OK... an old-fashioned name, and they are popular right now. You could also consider Cara or Clara.

I love it, it is so beautiful and not popular at all. Just in case you are looking for similar options, the following names are similar and could use Cora as a nickname.

Corinne

Corinna (or other spellings, Karina, Karena, Corina)

Cordelia

I've heard the name a couple of times. Both of the girls I knew were "grown" though. Still, it's a pretty name.

Cora is traditonal, not popular, and always beautiful.

i also love Coral, of course that changes the flow, but thought i'd share if you'd like a full-name, for nn Cora.

also is... Cora, a 2-syllable girl's name of Greek origin, means: Maiden. (what a beautiful meaning!!!)
Nicknames for Cora are Corene, Coretta, Correna and Corry.
