Hello, everyone! My husband and I were shopping last night, and picked up a name book to glance at. We know that we're having a girl (very excited about that!) and have two names picked out...Daisy LaVey AND Elliann Marie. I honestly like both equally and cannot decide. But I was worried about the likeness of Elliann becuase it's a name I made up and my husband thinks it sounds a bit like "alien." We looked up Elliann to see if there's possibly a listing of it in this book, and there's not, of course, but there it was...Eliana! I like that! It's very feminine, and get's rid of the "alien," means "sunny," (so cute), and still contains the family meaning (Elie for Eleanor, great grandma; Ann for mom's middle name; and Marie as my middle name). What do you think? Elliann or Eliana? Thanks for reading!

Unfortunately, I associate Daisy with a dog's name since it's my Bichon Frise's name ;)
I really like Eliana.
I have to say that I love Eliana - but then I am a little biased since I just named my daughter that.
But I thought the meaning was "my god has answered" where did you hear it is "sunny"?

Also just wanted to say that everyone who we have told the name loves it. They all say - that is so beautiful and different!

Thanks for your post, mom2b meg 79. Congrats on your beautiful baby girl! Actually, the baby book that my husband and I were looking in said "sunny." We were looking at this name book at Wal-Mart, but I don't know the name of the book. We were just browsing and not interesting in actually buying it. But I saw in another website somewhere that the meaning was something about God as well. Thanks for the post.
