Desperately Seeking Boy Name
| Mon, 06-18-2007 - 9:51am |
I am scheduled to deliver #2 on the 27th and we have yet to decide on a name for our new little bundle of joy. We were thinking Zane from the minute we found out, but now we are having our doubts. DH really likes Griffin & Jacob, but I don't know if I am sold on either one and I don't know what to use for middle names. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I really like Griffin. It is adorable in a sort of "rough and tumble" way. I love the nn's Griff and Finn.
Zane is also nice. Not a favourite of mine, but I like hearing it. I have also seen is at a nn for Isaiah. Especially is Isaiah's mn or last name starts with an N.
Jacob is way, way overdone and is just borign to me now. I would avoid it.
As for a mn, I would use something with meaning to you. There are so many ways you could incorporate this; a family name, the name of someone you look up to or want to honour, a name in a song/book/movie you love, the town you grew up in, the church you were married in, name of the godparent, etc. It jsut adds so much more significance.

I think all three are great names but since you have a taste for some that are a less common, I don't think you'd be satisfied with Jacob when it's so popular.
