Devonelisa--quick list?

I have really enjoyed reading all your posts and love your naming knowledge and style. I was wondering if you might share some of your favorite boy names at the moment?
I think boy names are incredibly difficult. We like traditional but not trendy names, and yet have inadvertently chosen two names that are climbing the lists (bleech).
Anyway, I was just interested to see what you liked.
Thanks!
Amy
Mom to Lily and Owen

I second this request! Just out of curiousity though. I'm not expecting. I just love reading your posts and respect your taste.
Thanks!
Cara
Ack!
Devon,
Thanks so much for sharing!
MANY MANY new names that strike a chord in me.
Particularly,
Angus/Fergus nn Gus
Seth (If the LN is S___ should I avoid the alliteration factor???)
Cyrus (Alliteration problem again, but really like this one)
Ezra (love Ezra Pound)
Theo (Theodore--I actually like nn Teddy for a little fellow as well)
Hugo
Jasper
Cale
Lewis (DD mn is Louise (nn Lou) so this probably won't work but I still love it)
Lucian
Felix
Nash
Heath (may be my new favorite)
Thanks so much for giving me so many new names to ponder!
:) Amy
I feel so smart now, because some of these names are already on my list. Clever you! Clever me! ;)
You are right, there are tons out there and we just have to keep looking. But sometimes it just takes another person whose opinion I respect to just point out a name. I think I could have looked and looked and never have really SEEN the name Inigo for instance, and it's wonderful. (I tend to think of the movie Princess Bride, "Hello! My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die!")
Thanks so much for sharing!

LOL!
Devon,
Oh you must see The Princess Bride! It is a classic! And your children can watch it, too. It would be a great choice for a family movie night. It is a wonderful and charming film, and it just gets funnier each time you see it.
Alas, no one would believe that we were thinking of Inigo Jones instead of The Princess Bride's Inigo Montoya. Ok, we might be able to pull it off with people we didn't know very well. (I was an art history major so I'm supposed to know about important and influential architects and artists, though I've forgotten most of what I studied. I have heard of Inigo Jones though I never studied his work.) But I think most of our friends know that we adore the movie as my husband and I tend to spout quotations from it.
But this brings me back to what I was about it taking another person whose opinion I respect to suddenly make a name stand out. I've heard the name Inigo from The Princess Bride and of the architect Inigo Jones, but it took seeing it on your list to make it really pop for me.
Thanks again for sharing your list. It was fun chatting with you!
:) Cara
