DH and I can't agree! #4

Hi! I'm Mia. My husband and I can't agree on a name for baby number 4 due 5/5. We don't know the sex - but I'm pretty sure it's a girl (just a feeling). We have two girls and a boy - Ramona Lauren (5), James "Jamie" Matthew (3), and Chloe Elisabeth (2).

I like:
Hannah
Leona
Gemma
Nora

Owen
Oliver
Patrick
Grant

He likes:
Alexandra
Sarah
Vanessa
Isabelle

John (Jack)
Daniel

Can any of you think of names that you think we would both like? It's not that I dislike the names he is pushing, it's just that they're not really what I would like to name our child. I hope that makes sense. Any suggestions would be great!

With Ramona, James "Jamie" and Chloe (which are all fabulous btw)... I have to say I like your choices better- they are much less common and more spunky! Love Gemma, Oliver, and Patrick. His choices (especially girls) seem so popular in comparison.

Ramona Lauren (5), James "Jamie" Matthew (3), and Chloe Elisabeth (2).

I like:
Hannah - this matches well in style with your other children.
Leona - I like this - but I think it's very similar to Ramona.
Gemma - love this, but Gemma and Jamie are very similar.
Nora - nice, not very common and a good match with siblings

Owen - nice, a little similar to Chloe.
Oliver - I like this. It's uncommon, yet classic. No nn option though.
Patrick - nice
Grant - my favorite from your list.

He likes:
Alexandra - a classic choice, but I don't care for any of the nn options
Sarah - a little plain with Ramona and Chloe.
Vanessa - nice
Isabelle - way too popular

John (Jack) - I would avoid another J name. Plus Jack is super popular.
Daniel - not bad

A few suggestions:

Sabrina
Audrey
Eloise
Lydia
Teresa/Tessa
Bridget
Beatrice
Simone
Jillian
Naomi

First off, I love Leona, it's one of my favorite names.. but it is too close to my daughters name Alaina (who we call Lainey or Laina sometimes). I think it's too close to Ramona too (both end in -ona). I think Gemma and Nora both go nicely with you set. I also think Sarah and Vanessa go nicely. From the boys I think Oliver and Grant go best with your set.

now here are my suggestions:

Wow! Everyone has given us such great suggestions.

I am going to add Lydia, Audrey, Penelope, Celia, Leah, Adam, Henry, and Simon to the list! I'm sure my husband will not be thrilled - talking about baby names has never been his favorite. Hopefully we can both agree on from the new lists.

I, too, LOVE the name Leona. I think you're right about it being too close to Ramona. I have a lot of nieces and nephews who have some great names, which is nice for them but eliminates a lot from my list!
