DH won't agree to any girl names except the three names we agreed upon awhile back (and I'm now getting bored of because we've mulled over them so many times).

Mae is a family name, which I love, and we'd like to use as a middle name.

What do you think of Ariel Mae? I think it might be a name he'd go for because we both love A names. How popular is it? I don't know anyone with this name.

Looks like it was more poplular in the early 90's which makes sense because that is when the Little Mermaid came out. I personally don't care for it for that reason though. This site is the social security name database site - - it will show you a names rank over the past 100 years or so.

Here, Ariel is a boy's name. Arielle is the female version. However, the mermaid in the movie was Ariel and she was a girl...so anything goes!
I love Ariel/Arielle Mae!
