My children are Logan Daniel (almost 6) and Brielle Gianna (3), but since a few weeks after Brielle was born I've always wondered if the other names we were thinking about for our kids were better. I havent signed up for being able to get pictures of my kids on the post, so I'll just discribe how Brielle and Logan look and then I'll tell you the other names we thought about.

Logan Daniel...
Logan has short, dirty blonde hair and brown eyes. He is very much, a wild little boy, but he loves animals, and wants to be a veterenarian and can be so sweet and quiet also.

other names:
Austin Blake
Caleb Matthew
Sean William
Ryan Alexander

Brielle Gianna....
Shes a little princess. She hads golden blonde hair and huge ocean blue eyes. She is the total oppisite of her brother and is all girl. She loves dressing up and putting makeup and wearing accessories.

Other names:
Madison Laine
Brenley Shanna (En is pronounced like in the word end)
Chloe Rachel (I wouldn't even think about naming one of my children this now because my friend named her dog Chloe)
Emma Jolie

I really like the names you've picked out. But if I saw your son I would think the name Ryan or Sean would fit better. And if I saw your daughter I would think Madison or Chloe(theres a little girl down the road who has the same look as u described named Chloe) would fit her.

Sorry, but I think you missed. I think that of your choices for both children, you chose the names that are most trendy and are most likely to be the Tiffany's and Katelyn's of the future. I actually really like the name Logan, but I know at least 9 of them (no lie, I actually just sat here and counted them up on my fingers). As for Brielle, I think it's a made-up name, and I've never liked it (of course, this could be because the first Brielle I met was a total and complete B*TCH!).

I prefer more classic names, and because of that, I would probably have chosen Caleb and Emma as first names, although I really love the name Rachel for a first name. If I could pick and choose, I would have chosen Caleb William and Emma Rachel.

But, you know, it's all a matter of preference. And if I met your little cuties, I would probably never give a second thought to what you named them. They'd just be who they are, which I'm sure are completely adorable, beautiful little kiddies. I'm sure that your Brielle could give me one sweet look, and I'd lose all resentment for the name.

And by the way, I feel your pain about the name Chloe. For ages, one of my favorite names has been Sophie. My friend just named her pug that, so now it's gone forever. Darn those people using up good baby names on their dogs!

Honestly, when I hear the name Logan, I usually think of a red-head. I don't know why, I don't know any Logans, but for some reason when I read your discription, I thought he might be more of an Austin.

As for your girl, I think you were spot on! Brielle does sound like a delicate and graceful name, and that sounds a lot like your little princess. I'm sooo glad you didn't fall into the Emma/Emily trap! While it may be fitting for her personality, IMO its one of the most over used girls names, and its popularity is only increasing, not decreasing, especially after the name Emma was used on Friends. My 10 year old niece was on the front end of that trend, and was named after my grandmother, Emily and right now she's the only one in her grade with that name, but there are a least a half dozen younger than her either Emily or Emma. As far as the others go, I've never liked Madison for a girl, Brenley sounds like a made up name to me and my aunt's dog is Chloe, so I can't separate the human name from the dog name.

But honestly (and I know you know this) the names you picked for your kids are very lovely, and you picked them for a reason, so I wouldn't worry if you child looks like a Logan or a Brielle. :)

Hal~ Please don't second guess the names you gave your children. It is a rare find to meet people that truly don't match thier name, but your children's names are Beautiful and even though you might be unsure don't let yourself be overcome by what name you maybe should have given them!! naming a child is a huge responsibility, it is enough to give them a name that will not get them picked on by other children. Everyone has a stereotype vision of what you should see when you meet someone by a certain name, but look at the varitey of Tom's, Joe's, Mark's etc that you meet and have met.

As a child I hated my name, Amber, I thought it would never fit me as a person, but looking back it fit me as a child and has grown quite nicely with me. Now I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Just enjoy the little lives you have to take care of.

Amber :)

I think Logan Daniel is a great name, but Sean William would match his personality better. I love the name Brielle Gianna... That was the perfect name!! :)

IMO, the child makes the name, the name doesn't make the child.
I am sure what you picked is great!
