Dinesen for a second twin?

Greetings, we don't even know if we're having a girl -- let alone twins! -- but we love the Scandinavian name Dagny if this baby is a girl; that we're settled on. The other night I was asking myself what we'd name a second girl if I did happen to have twins (a boy would be Dane). Originally I had thought it would be Della, because I like that name a lot. But then I thought of Karen Blixen (Out of Africa author) and her oft-used pen name: Isak Dinesen. I wondered if that would make a good "D" name to go with Dagny -- I am a writer, it is also Scandinavian, and it would be pretty uncommon (just like Dagny). Not being of Scandinavian descent myself (dh apparently has some Danish blood in addition to his German blood), I'm not familiar with Scandinavian D names, although I'm sure there are some other good ones.

What do you think?

I am also Scandinavian and love Scandinavian names. However, Dinesen immediately made me think of Desitin, the diaper cream. Sorry. :( I wonder if others will go there or not?

I don't think twins' names have to start with the same letter necessarily.

Other Scand. names I like:

Freya
Erika
Linnea
Karina
Naima (ny-ee-mah)
Mia
Elke (elk-uh)
Annika (various spellings)

AJ, enjoying life with C.

Well, if you really wanted two "D" names, you might consider Dinah, which is a tad simpler- but not Scan. Della is also great- or Delta, which I like.
