Do these names go well together?

Our 3 year old DD's name is Daina (Day-na) Marie. The girls name we have picked out for this baby is Kadie (MN to be announced).
Do Kadie and Daina sound good together for siblings?

I figured if when she got older she thought it was too cutsie she could shorten it to Kay. That's a little more grown up. What do you think?

I like the name Daina, like your spelling much better than Dana also. I think Kadie sounds too much like a nickname. It's also no different than the name Katie just because there's a D in there, so in that light it seems more common, traditional than Daina.
I can see where you are trying to go - sort of rhymey, two syllable. here are some others in that thread that I think would match up well with Daina
Amber, Aubrey, Brenna (short e) or Brena (long e), Chelsea, Courtney, Erin, Elyse, Gina, Heidi, Halle, Jacey, Kelsey, Kyndle, Kara, Kerri, Molly, Maura or Moira, Piper, Reegan or Raegan, Teegan or Taegan, Torri, Tasha, Whitney.
good luck.
Oooo... I like Halle. That was actually the girls name I wanted before I got pregnant. But since being pregnant I've been trying to throw as many names out there as possible so I can find the perfect one.
The name we had planned was: Halle Rae-Anne
So we would have Daina Marie and Halle Rae-Anne.
WDYT of that one?
I'm sorry, I dont' think the names go too well together. Daina has a well-known pronunciation yet unique spelling...and I just think it seems very FEMININE. Kadie seems CUTESY to me. Not that it's a bad thing, and not that Kadie doesn't sound feminine, b/c it does...just not to the extent that Daina does. See, girl names that end in "a" seem very feminine to me, whereas a female name that doesn't end in "a" can seem like a "female name" yet not "feminine". I just make a distinction when there's an "a" at the end, lol, I don't know why.
Names that end in the "-ee" sound seem cutesy (cutes-ee) to me. More like a "playground" name than an "executive" name...I just think that it's a name that's a little harder to take into adulthood, that's all, so I definitely like the previous poster's suggestion of having something else as the full name and then using Kadie as a nn.
Yes! They sound fine.

p.s. I *love* the name you've chosen. Kadie/Cady are nice alternatives to the much more common Katie. Good choice!
