Okay we've narrowed it down to these choices. What do ya'll think?
FOr a girl we like Madalynn Marie(after my grandma) and for a boy we like James Stanley(Both names of my grandfathers). What do ya'll think of these? Last name is Owen.

Madalyn is too popular, nn Maddie (along with Madison) also sounds like Maggie.

James is OK, but need more something. Why not Stanley James?

They are both nice names. I have always liked Madalynn, although I like the Madelyn spelling a little bit more. Good luck!

Madalynn/Madelyn/Madeline is popular (esp. if you count Madison, too), but it's a beautiful name. And I think Madalynn Marie sounds great. I do prefer either the Madeline, Madeleine, or Madelyn spelling, though.

James Stanley is a great way to honor the grandfathers, and I think James is an underused classic.

Great choices!

James Stanley Owen is a great name that flows well together. Madalynn Marie is ok. I'm not a big fan of Madalynn/Madeline (however it's spelled), but if that's your grandmother's name then I can't argue. I do think Maddie is a cute nn for a little girl.

I love Madalynn Marie! Although I prefer it spelt Madeline but thats just a personal prefrence. Madeline is a great "grown up" name for a woman and Maddie is very cute for a little girl. James Stanley is nice too! Very manly and grown up.

Good Luck!!

I think James Staney is a wonderful choice. I have a bit of a quibble with the spelling of Madalynn (prefer Madeline or Madeleine), but my main problem with Madalynn Marie is the rhymey sound of Madalynn Owen.

I really like the spelling of madalynn. It's unique and original. Are you concerned about nicknames? A lot of people might try to call her maddie, but if you don't like that you can always curb that temptation by saying "no, her name is madalynn."

Hey, southern fun. I'm a southern gal myself!

I almost always like the incorporation of family names.

James Stanley Owen has perfect flow.
I'm sorry but I do not like Madalynn Marie. The spelling will have to be set straight every time she meets someone new. I would prefer Madeline. If you are trying to incorporate Lynn after someone then I understand it a little more...

Good luck, Ginger

I know not too many people are liking the MADALYNN spelling, but I don't want her name pronounced like MAD-Ah-LINE(Like the little french girl cartoon) my husband actually came up with the spelling so... also I don't think we're going to use a nickname for her...maybe her dad will cause he's all about the name Maddie, but that'll be special daddy name I guess...

And, you've just explained yourself perfectly to me. It's so important to be able to say to a child, "Daddy loved it." or "You are dad's special Maddie!" By the way, one of my best friends used Madalyn spelling for the SAME reason. She's never been called Maddie, and she says spelling hasn't been a problem (just some clarifications), and people ALWAYS say it right! Look at it this way--- If you love the name, you're either going to have to pronounce it a lot with Madeline spelling or spell it a lot with Madalynn spelling. Do what you love and best wishes!
