We're thinking of Griffin for a boy. Any opinions on that name? It's a family name and we're going for the uncommon, yet not too unusual type of name. Thanks!

I think, for me, it would depend on the last name. All in all, it's a good sounding name though. I also like to keep family names going.

I do like it. It is getting a bit moer common but still is fairly rare. I like it with the nn Finn, plus I love using family names!

Not that its a super common name, but I happen to know of three Griffins (all under 3) who all go by Finn and just a plain Finn too. It may be more common than you think.

It's perfect for you. How lucky are you that it is a family name, if it were a family name for me I would use it in a heartbeat. It has great nn options too- I love both Finn and Griff. Adorable.
