Do you like the name Emmy?

I am pregnant with my third, and final baby! My son's name is Jessy, he is 3. My daughter is 2 and her name is Sophie. What do you think of the name Emmy? I think it flows. Our last name is Jacobson. I also like Zoey and Lucy. DH isnt fond of any of the three. He likes Mallory.

Another ?. Both my kids have 2 middle names. With my son we wanted both grandfathers... Jessy Robert David. When Sophie was born, we did Sophie Marie Lane. Marie isnt an option to not use. All females in my family have the middle name. Lane was my maternal grandmothers maiden name. It just so happens, Marie Lane was my great grandmother. SO, do we HAVE to do two middle names again? If so, we would do Marie Lane for the girl, but we seriously cant think of another boy name that we would HAVE to use. Our grandfathers were Glenn and Clarence. ICK! The point for our two middle names was to honor people. My DH said the next boy will have his name as a middle.. so it would be Jeffrey.

Any help is appreciated!

Emmy is way too cutesy. Emma, Emmeline, or Emily nn Emmy is much better, but I like Lucy, Mallory, or Zoe (spelt this way) better. Emmy is just too cutesy- doesn't suit anyone over age 3 at all!

I really like the name Emmy with Jessy and Sophie. I would use 2 mn's for this child since the other two have them. I would use Clare, Cadence or Clara out of Clarence and maybe Glenna/Glenda/Leni/Lenn/Lena out of Glenn. OR just use a 'G' name to honor Glenn like Grace

Emmy Clare Grace
Emmy Grace Clare
Emmy Clare Gracie
Emmy Grace Clara

Emmy Lenn Clare
Emmy Clare Leni
Emmy Clare Glenda
Emmy Clare Glenna
Emmy Lena Clare

I like Emmy very much as a nickname, but personally I don't think it works as a given name. If I wanted to use the nickname Emmy, I might use Emmeline or even Emma (despite the popularity) as the first name.

In my opinion, you should not feel that you "have to" use any certain middle name or middle names. I think it should be totally up to you and your husband to pick one or more middle names, or no middle name, whatever you think is best.
