I have some names that I like but I am not sure wether they are more masculine or feminine. Some names you hear and definetley think boy or girl but I would like your opinions on these.
Ashton
Brighton
Berkley
Hayden
Payton

Thanks, Angie

Here are my initial reactions to the list:

Ashton- I'd think girl recently, just b/c the only one I know IRL is a teenage girl.
Brighton- I'd guess girl, not sure why.
Berkley- This one seems like a boy. The only Berkley I have known was a boy cat :)
Hayden- Boy, although I know it's being used for girls sometimes. Still boy for me.
Payton- I'd guess girl b/c I don't know any boys named Payton.

Angie,

Many of the names on this list are more unisex, so could work for either. But here's my first impression of each:

Ashton: B (Ashlyn would be girl)
Brighton: B
Berkley: B
Hayden: either
Payton: G

When I look at the list, I think that Brighton is probably a boy (maybe 70% likely to be a boy, 30% likely to be a girl), and all the others are completely unisex at this time -- I would truly have no idea whether to expect Ashton, Berkeley, Hayden and Payton to be boys or girls, and I would not be even a bit surprised if all were girls. I would, however, be a bit surprised if all four turned out to be boys.

Ashton - BOY! It's on our boy list. :)

Brighton - either

Berkley - GIRL! I graduated with a girl named Berkely. It suited her well.

Hayden - BOY

Payton - GIRL, but i think i prefer the spelling Peyton for a girl.

Ashton- I think boy, but mainly b/c of Ashton Kutcher. I think you could get away with this as a girl name, but I think most people (at least most under 35) will probably think boy b/c of the famous namesake.

Brighton- Boy.
Berkley- Girl, just sounds perky and feminine.
Hayden- Either, but I prefer it for a boy.
Payton- Also either, but I prefer it for a boy.
