Love it...I am actually thinking about using it. I think it sounds masculine, so I am going boy name, but it could be a girl name...nincname, Emmie. I think it is adorable.

It's one of my favorites for a girl.

No, I don't like it. It is pretty trendy right now, especially for girls. I could personally only ever use it on a boy, but am not a fan of it for either gender.

I really like name. I think it could be nice on either sex, although I prefer it on a girl for the sole reason that they will probably get the nn Em/Emma/Emmy and that, to me, is very feminine. If you can think of a different nn that a boy Emerson could use, I would like it quite a bit.

Although it would make a great boys name, its gone the way of many others and become a girls name. I like the sound of it for a girl though!

I love that name, I definately think of it as a girls name though, don't really like it for a boy.

I absolutely love it. In fact I wanted to use it for our daughter but spelling it Emersyn.
My husband said no so we are still trying to agree on a name.
Good luck!

Sounds like a surname to me.

I took a look at what Behind the name says and it is surname meaning son of Emery and Emery is pet from of Emeric which means work rule.
