Does anyone know a nickname for the IV?

My husband is a III named after his father and grandfather. If we have a son he wants to continue the tradition with the same name which would make our child a Fourth/IV. The problem is that my husband's name is awful and I would not want to subject my child to such a bad name. I've known guy's who are III to be called Trip or Trey. Does anyone know of a similar type nickname for the IV? I've heard Chip (for chip off the old block). Any other suggestions?

I always thought that a Jr. drops the Jr. when his father dies. A II is named after another male relative, NOT the father.. so say Michael Anthony has a son and names him George Anthony who grows up & has a son, named George Anthony Jr, making his dad Goerge Anthony Sr.... George Anthony Jr. grows up and has a son and names him Michael Anthony, after Grandpa.. HE can be a II. In otherwords, a second is named after a relative that is *not* the father.

Of course, that's all the way it *should* be, properly. Most people just interchange them. Which is why I will never, never, ever have a jr. or a II!

I adore the nn Ivy for a fourth myself.

JMHO, as always

I don't care for the nn Ivy for a boy. Ford is better and I like Court. Court might be derived from the Spanish quatro or the French quatre. On another board, someone who was a 4th was called Quatro.
