I CURRENTLY HAVE A POLL GOING FOR MY DAUGHTER'S NAME WHO IS DUE APRIL 11TH. I HAVE KAITLYN ALYSSE (PURNOUNCED LIKE ALEECE) AND KAITLYN HAYLEY. NOW MY ORIGINAL CHOICE WAS ALYSSE FOR MIDDLE NAME CUZ IT FLOWS SO WELL TOGETHER WITH KAITLYN, BUT I REALLY LOVE THE NAME HAYLEY AND WOULD LIKE TO MAKE THAT HER MN. WHAT KINDA BOTHERS ME ABOUT IT THOUGH IS KAITLYN HAYLEY DOESNT FLOW VERY WELL... OR IS IT JUST ME??? KAITLYN ALYSSE IS WINNING BY FAR ON THE POLL SO I JUST DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO... ANY THOUGHTS???

I would go with KAITLYN ALYSSE. It's a beautiful name!

As you said it flows better, and if you really love the name HAYLEY, and use it now, you won't be able to use it if you ever have another daughter. I think that Kaitlyn and Hayley would be great sister names.

If you like Kaitlyn Hayley better go for it. You are correct that it doesn't flow quite as well as Kaitlyn Alysse, but the more I say it the more it grows on me. It sounds fine! Good Luck! HTH

I think Kaitlyn Alysse does flow better, but Hailey is such a sweet name and in some ways, it doesn't matter how well it flows as long as you love it. I don't think it flows badly, but the other one just seems to flow better. I would go with Kaitlyn Hailey though, if you prefer it.

I agree that Kaitlyn Alysse does flow better and is very pretty but Kaitlyn Hayley doesn't flow badly and if you prefer it go for it.

Good luck xxx

I think people may also have picked Alysse over Hailey because both Kaitlyn and Hailey are so popular these days - I believe Kaitlyn is top 10 (maybe 5) and Hailey is top 20, so it's nice to bring a less common MN in the mix. No one will gasp over your selecting either MN so you should go with whichever you like better.

I agree with a lot of the other posts. Kaitlyn Alysse does flow a bit better than Kaitlyn Hayley, but neither sounds bad at all (so you really can't go wrong whichever you choose!). :)

If you do plan on having any more children though, and you really love the name Hayley, I'd probably go with some other's suggestions of saving that for Kaitlyn's future sister -- Kaitlyn and Hayley certainly would make great sibling names! :)

hi all! i just wanted to thank everyone for all the responses. they did help alot and i do now feel better about using hayley as a mn.
and for everyone who suggested using hayley as another name in future for sibling... well i am done having kids. and another thing is i do have a 2 year old and she is named kialy (purnounced like kylie). so when i got pregnant this time our number one choice for a name was hayley... but kialy and hayley sound very weird together.. they kind of rhyme in a weird way and sound way too similar. so we then decided to go with kaitlyn. so i guess this really is my last chance to use hayley in my daughters names.
thank you again for all your in put.

Well, to me ther reason Kaitlyn Hayley doesn't flow is because they are so similar. They are both two syllable names, they both have the long A sound and they are both trendy. I don't like them together at all! Choose one or the other and then work from there. If you really love Hayley, use that as the first name. Just remember not to choose a two syllable mn and try to stay away from that long A sound. I think if you choose Hayley, you should choose a mn with a consonant at the end to ground the name. Like:
Hayley Erin
Hayley Sloane
Hayley Banks

If you want Kaitlyn, try a mn that end with the "ee" sound or the "sh" sound (they soften the harder-sounding Kaitlyn):
Kaitlyn Marie
Kaitlyn Nash

Good luck!
