my dd's names is Anna Elizabeth...I'm thinking of (if this one is a girl) Catherine Elise. do these name sound good together? also have any ideas on how to have people keep it Catherine and not Cate or Catie??

Yes, I think they match wonderfully.

To keep it Catherine, introduce her as Catherine. If someone calls her Catie/Cate/Cathy say something like, "Oh, yes, Catherine loves peas (or whatever)." :)

I know a Katherine who has successfully gone by her full name her whole life, so it is possible.

I think that w/Catherine you don't have to worry about people shortening it to Cate/Catie.

I think they go very well together.


As to keeping it Catherine, w/out a nn, all you can do is keep referring to her as "Catherine".
