Well we have narrowed it down to Alexandra or Audrey with the middle name of Grace for either one. Our other children are: Elizabeth (Beth), Nicholas (Nick), Katherine (Kate), James (Jack), and Samuel (Sam).

Some days I really lean towards Audrey Grace, it is so pretty. Then other days I change my mind and think I like Alexandra better, since it does seem to go better with the other names. Wish I could just make up my mind!

I was also thinking about Sasha as nickname for Alexandra. It is Russian, and not well known as a nickname for Alexandra especially where I live, in the southern US. When I told my dh he had never heard of it, and thought I was crazy, LOL.

Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Debi

Well, I convinced dh Sasha is a real nn for Alexandra, but he doesn't like it. So we are now down to Alexandra Grace with nn Allie, or Audrey Grace with no nn. Dh says he likes either, so basically I need to make up my mind! Ugh. Guess I'll make another poll with those two names just to see what comes up.

Well, if you're going to go with Alexandra I'm glad you decided on Allie. It's my favorite nickname for Alexandra (so many Alexes and Lexies running around!) I don't understand all these Audrey naysayers, though. I think it is a great name.

I know an Alexandra nn Sascha, but she spells it with a 'C' stuck in there, which I think is the proper Russian spelling for that nn. Also, I'm not sure of your heritage/nationality, but if you aren't Russian I wouldn't use a common Russian nn. If you are, then I think it's a great idea to incorporate your background into her name. I know a few little Alexandra's. One's nn is Alex, but two are Ali and one is just plain old Al, which I think is cute since you don't imagine a tiny little girl when you hear the name Al. She has a twin names Alexis, nn Lexi. So they are Lexi and Al which I think is adorable.

As much as I prefer Audrey by itself (it's my older DD's name), I do think it kind of sticks out with your other kids' names. I personally like that it doesn't have a nickname (all 4 of mine go by their full names), but with *all* of your other kids having one, it does seem a little odd. GL deciding:-)nat
