OK, we have had 2 other polls going and have gotten a lot of opinions. (Thank You) Although Bennett and Jaxon came out on top, here are our thoughts. We don't want the nicknames Ben or Jack. Teagen and Vaughn came in second, and we could deal with the nicknames Tea or V, but hopefully the original full name will prevail, elilminating a nickname. I know some of you think Teagen is too feminine for a boy, but we both agree that it could form to fit the "namee", being a boy. We are going for something different and distinct. Please let us know which you prefer, or any other ideas would be appreciated. Our first son is Mason York.
Teagen Patrick Humphries
Vaughn Patrick Humphries
(Patrick is a male family middle name that I would really like to pass on)
Thanks a lot for your help!!

I do think that Teagan is feminine. I always thought Keagan for a boy, Teagan for a girl. If you like it then stick with it. I like Vaughn but Yvonne always comes to mind when I say it. I like the way Vaughn looks until I say it, lol. If I had to choose between the 2 then I'd say Teagan Patrick flows better than Vaughn Patrick.

Teagen Patrick Humphries
Vaughn Patrick Humphries

Out of the two, I like Vaugh better, but think that Teagen Humphries flows better than Vaugh Humphries. I like the middlename with both. As far as Teagen being better on a boy or girl, I don't know anyone with that name, so I have no preference either way. For Bennet and Jaxon, I don't care for the nicknames of Jack or Ben either, so I like that you are thinking of other options. I just reread my post here and think I am not much help either way to you am I?!?!? Okay....I like both your choices, so I think you win either way!

I happen to love Teagan for a boy, but your spelling of Teagen is nice also. I can't see it on a girl at all!!! And I also like Vaughn, though prefer Vaughan for some reason. To be honest, I can't decide which sounds better with Patrick, maybe Vaughn. But, Teagen sounds better with Mason. I think Bennett and Jaxon are nice, too but prefer Teagen or Vaughn. You could use Vaughnie as a nickname maybe??

good luck!

IMHO I don't really like Teagen

I don't think Teegan (or however you spell it) is too feminine at all. I knwe a guy in HS named Teegan and it fit him really well. I think Teegan Patrick Humphries works really well.

The only Teegan I know is a 2-year-old boy, so it doesn't sound feminine to me at all, and I prefer that to Vaughn. If you really hate nicknames, I'd go with Vaughn, though, b/c I bet that Teagen will get Tea or Teague/Teag from friends by the time he's a teenager.

Good luck making a decision!

Teagen doesn't appeal to me, whether it be for a girl or for a boy. Vaughan is very nice, and I prefer that spelling :)

btw, if Patrick doesn't suit you why are you using it ?
