We are down to two names for our baby girl due in just days. I'm having such trouble deciding between our two favorites though. Can you tell me which name you like more and if you have any additional input, that would be helpful too. Thank you so much!

Ella Sophia
Marin Elizabeth - or should it be spelled Maren?

Thanks!!!

I'm going for Ella Sophia - it's sweet enough for an infant and yet will be sophisticated enough when she's older. Marin's nice, but kind of plain. Good luck!

First of all, I like both choices! They are so opposite of each other though! Ella is a very popular name around my area (Michigan) where as Marin is not a name I have heard at all. Perhaps you should just go with both names in mind and when she is born, you will *know* what her name is then!

I love both names, but Marin is so much less common, so that gets my vote. I love it! Its a gorgeous name. I prefer it spelt Maren though.

I had a friend in college named Mairen - VERY Irish. Not to throw a monkey wrench in the works but I didn't know if you'd like that spelling, too.

Marin Elizabeth is the one I choose. It flows nicely, and it isn't as common as Ella Sophia. Whenever I hear Ella (which I do think is pretty) I think, "not again!"

Well, congrats on your baby girl! I like both choices, but like Marin Elizabeth better, because it flows together better. The -a ending in Ella Sophia doesn't sound as good to me, I guess. But both are beautiful! Good luck!

I have an almost 6-year-old little Maren, so of course that's the one I like best!

I like the spelling of Maren or Mairen better than Marin. I've only known one Marin in my life and I've known many Ella's so I'd probably go with Maren because its unique.
