I like it a lot, too. Have you considered the similar sounding Declan, too? I think "Dec" is a much better nn than "Dunk".

I love it! It's fantastic -- easily recognized and pronounced but so underused that you rarely hear it. It fits in with all the popular Irish/Scottish/Welsh name trend but stands out amongst a crowd of Aidans, Liams, Dylans and Evans. Another name you might like that fits that category is Alastair.

I think Duncan is a wonderful alternative to all those popular Celtic names we're seeing right now. It is really cute!
