Elise Roslin (rose-lin, not Roz-lin) Alexander would be the full name.

Here are my criteria for a good name:

1) Has to be equally sporty, spunky and artistic, but a bit different.
2) Has to suit a baby, child, teen, adult and grandma.
3) Has to flow.

How many of these criteria do you see being met by this name?
Thanks,
Steph

I like Elise - feel it meets the first two criteria,

1) Has to be equally sporty, spunky and artistic, but a bit different.
2) Has to suit a baby, child, teen, adult and grandma.

I don't feel it fits the 3rd criteria on flow

the S sound in the middle of both is awkward. the fact that the accent on Elise is on the 2nd syllable and the accent on Roslin is on the first syllable is awkward. With Elise you need a middle where the accent is also on the second syllable or later in a few longer names

also, I don't like the spelling of Roslin - I don't see Rose-lin in it. I would think for that pronunciation you should go with Roselyn, but that doesn't help the flow problem.

I'd say keep Elise, work on finding a new middle - here are things I think sound good with Elise

Elise Brianna or Brianne; Elise Corinne, Elise Danielle, Elise Janelle, Elise Kathleen, Elise Nicole, Elise Noelle, Elise Renee

I agree with the pp post. I definately think you should keep Elise.

Other possible mn still using Rose:

Elise Roseann Alexander
Elise Rosette Alexander
Elise Rosemari/e Alexander
ELise Rosalind Alexander

or...
Elise Rochelle Alexander
Elise Roxanne Alexander

Other combos:
Elise Diane/a , Elise Michelle, Elise Maureen, Elise Chantel, Elise Lucette, Elise Jeanine, Elise Charlize, Elise Danielle, Elise Noelle, ELise Nicole

HTH, Keep us posted -

I like the name a lot & I think it meets all your criteria. The only problem I see is that the mn will be mispronounced but if it's a family name that means soemthing to you I'd still use it ... how often do we use our mns anyway?!

While that is a beautiful name, I don't know that it meets the flowing criteria. Most people will probably read it as Roz-lin too which will aggravate the bejezzis out of you. My friend named her little girl Jodi Rachel (Ra-shell not Rachel) and it gives her fits now because everyone pronounces it Rachel.
Elise is gorgeous I would just try some different middle names.
Thanks,

I agree that Roslin will be pronounced Roz-lin.
