Hi everyone! I'm a first time poster, but long time lurker, and decided I wanted to play with you guys. I've always LOVED playing around with names, and still do it as a hobby to this day. DH and I are not anywhere near TTC, at least not until we finish grad school, but that still doesn't stop me from creating lists of possibilities.

I guess, I'll throw my "current" list in the ring just to give you all an idea of what I like. I've always been a fan of the classics, but with the classics revival, I've grown tired of hearing the same names over and over (witness every child I run into having MY name) and am looking toward some hipper less utilized classics, you could say. Any ideas would be appreciated. So here ya go. Some of these I would never use, but love anyway, and others I just love. Thanks for humouring me.

Boys...(I'm a big fan of the biblical names, just warning ya.)

Welcome!! I am pretty new here too, but that's just because I am desperately trying to finalize by babe's name before he's born (20 days left). I like a lot of your names, I too am into the biblical names-- especially for boys. We (well I, mostly) considered a lot of the names on your list at some point, but I can't tell you how incredibly hard it is to narrow the list down to 1!!! Right now my DH is still liking Silas Oliver but I am leaning towards Macaiah (also Micaiah)-- of course-- both biblical first names!!

Hope you enjoy playing around with names-- it is kind of addictive!!

Nice to "meet" you! I like a lot of your names. Here are my favorites:

Calvin - nn Cal is way cool.
Miles - have you considered Milo?
Oliver - very sweet.
Sebastian - love it.
Theodore - I love nn Theo.
Vincent - handsome.
William - nn Liam is very sweet.

Audrey - very classy. I also like Audra and Aubrey.
Cecily - adorable.
Ingrid - a bold choice; could be great on the right girl.
Ivy - this name is #1 on my own list; big thumbs up from me!
Jessamine - beautiful.
Lillian - very pretty; getting a bit popular.
Ophelia - a brave choice. It has always been one of my closet favorites.

Hi there, Emily! These are some nice lists. Here are my thoughts:

Boys...(I'm a big fan of the biblical names, just warning ya.)

Andrew-I love Andrew. It has a soft & gentle sound too it, but is still strong & handsome at the same time.

Atticus-Oh, that's nice. It's different, but still reconizable.

Calvin-That's cute. I really love Cal.

Douglas-I like Douglas, but could do w/out Doug. Doug sounds sort of goofy, imo.

Henry-I love that one. Charming.

Isaac-That's nice. It's not my favourite, but it's okay.

Jonah-That's nice.

Lincoln-This is really cool, & I love the nn Linc.

Miles-Darling.

Noah-That's fine, but it just doesn't do much for me.

Oliver-I like that.

Spencer-I've recently started liking this name a lot. It sounds spunky!

Sebastian-Fantastic.

Tobias-I like Tobias a lot, but am not a big fan of Toby. It's sort of like Douglas/Doug.

Theodore-That's nice. I don't like Ted, but I think that one can be avoided.

Vincent-That's very nice.

William-I love William. I have one at home!

And Girls...

Antonia-Ooh, so pretty!

Audrey-Sweet.

Astrid-That's fine, but it's nms.

Bronte-Now that is nice. Are you a fan of the sisters' works? If so, this is even neater.

Claudia-I'm really liking this lately. It's strong, but feminine.

Cecily-Sweet.

Charlotte-That's fine, but I'm hearing it way too much lately.

Eleanor-That's a bit harsh for my tastes, but it's still a classic.

Hillary-That's nms. It seems sort of valley girlish.

Ivy-Spunky!

Ingrid-That's okay, but it's nms.

Jane-I really like the simplicity of this.

Jessamine-Is this said just how it looks? I don't know if I like it.

Lillian-I love that. Too bad every other baby I see these days is called this!

Louisa-Gorgeous.

Maren-That's nice. I like this spelling too.

Ophelia-I think this is too tragic of a character!

Scarlett-That's stunning. It seems more interesting then Charlotte.

Victoria-Pretty, but the nns are not so desirable.
