Emery/Emory boy or girl?

I was lurking and looking for boy names. My maiden name is Emery and have loved the idea of using it for a boy's first or middle name. But, recently, I have heard of 2 or 3 girls named Emery. Do you think it is a boy or girl's name?

Also, what do you guys think if our second boy doesn't have an "M" name. Both my name and my husband's begin with M. Our son is named Walter Maxwell, but we call him "Max". Do you think #2 will fell left out if he isn't an M? If you do, can you give me some suggestions on M names, because I can't find any other ones I like.>

TIA

I think of Emery as a girls name. I think I would name the second boy an M name too, but if you can't find any you like for a first name, you could give him an M middle name like your other son.
I like
Matthew
Marshall
Mason
Mitchell
Miles
Hope this helps

Emory seems male vs. Emery.

Thanks so much. You guys are all wonderful!!

Last night, we pretty much agreed to use Emery as the middle name, but after reading all of these posts, I kind of like it again for a first name.....

Thanks again

I think Emery is fine for a boy. I don't think your son will feel left out if he doesn't have an M name.
