I need a little help everyone. I need to know your opinions on these names and any suggestions you may have. I am having a boy. This is baby #6 for us. These were inspired by my husband's and my middle name. Wesley and Anne

#1 Sky Weslan

#2 Skylan

My other children's names are:
Tracy Nicole
Darian Allen
Seth Ray
Sadie Anne
Jayden Riley

Just by looking at them Weslan looks more like a boy name and Skylan looks like it could be both, but more likely a girls name.

ALthough I don't really like the name Sky at all, I think Skylan is nice, and I really like Weslan A LOT. How about using Weslan as a first name? Its so strong and masculine and is much better on a boy than Sky, which is extremely feminine and girlish. He will probably come to hate it when he's older. Maybe as a mn? I think Weslan Sky would be fine.

I think Sky or Skylan sounds too feminine for a boy. Why not use something like Andrew Wesley - which combines both your names - but fits better with your other children's names.

Weston would be another option. Or, since you've already used Anne as a middle name for one of your children. Use Wesley as a middle name with a more masculine first name.

A few that I like...

Joel Wesley
Shane Wesley
Kyle Wesley
Marshall Wesley
Brent Wesley
Garrett Wesley
Grant Wesley
Aaron Wesley

Wesley is a great name. Sky, Skylan and Weslan are not.

How about Wesley Andrew or Andrew Wesley to honor both of you?

Wesley Anton works too. Or how about using your maiden name as a middle name for Wesley?

I think that Wesley, Andrew and Anton are all fantastic ways of using your middle names, while sticking to real, established, classic names. Weslan and Skylan just sound made up to me and Sky sounds more appropriate for a girl.

Both Sky and Skylan seem more like a name for a girl than a boy. I know there are a lot of Sklar/Skyler's out there right now, all those that I know are girls. (Although I think Skyler/Skylar is supposed to be unisex??)

I really like Sky Weslan! Skylan is very feminine imo. I love the name Sky/Skyler/Schuylar for a boy. Good luck!

Thank you ALL for your replies. I appreciated them all greatly! In response to the suggestion on using my maiden name as a middle name for the baby.....well.....its Summers so, I dont think that would work very well. I wish I would have thought of that for one of my girls though.....ahhhh :( In conclusion, I think that Skylan is definately out and Weslan seems to be hangin in there....just dont know where yet. We still have 16 weeks to go until a final decision has to be made. Again, Thank you all very very much for your help and opinions.
