My husband and I really like the name Ezra Daniel if we have a boy, but we have been getting mixed messages from people. I would like to know what you honestly think about the name (strangers are better at telling the truth!) Thank you.

I love the name Ezra. I think it's a beautiful, strong, manly name. There are 2 Ezra's in our playgroup; one's a boy and the other a girl.

I adore Ezra and think That Ezra Daniel is strong, simple and just wonderful.

I've liked Ezra for quite a while and went looking for a comment I'd posted a bit ago about Ezra. I found it in the archives: http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-ppbabyname/?msg=33553.3

I hope you go with Ezra Daniel!

Personally, I always associated Ezra with a girl's name.

Okay, so here's my opinion... my cousin is named EZRA and all of us choked when we heard it... We thought it sounded 'wierd' and alien-ish...

I think Ezra Daniel is very handsome! - If it helps, I looked up Ezra on the 2004 SSA list - it came in at #382 - some of the other names right around that same ranking include Walker, Weston, Maddox, Davis, Marshall, Julius, Joaquin, Tate, and Luca - I know a Davis and a Marshall and I've seen and heard of little Walkers, Westons, Maddoxes(of course with Ms Jolie), Joaquin, Tate, and Luca so Ezra is not in uncharted territory - and I've been told that in some neighborhoods of NY, Ezra is well known - once people meet your beautiful baby Ezra, any other associations they had about the name will go out the window - if you and your husband both like it, I say take it to the delivery room and see if it fits -

Good luck to you!
