ok..im sure many of you have the same problem of the father of your yet to be born baby and yourself not agreeing on names. in my situation, we want names that are unique but not too strange, still pretty. but all the names i like he doesn't and vice versa (with the exception of 3 names, that im not in love with.)
anyway, i thought i'd list some of my names and just get an opinion. we have our boy name picked out and are only having trouble with girl names. we know if it's a girl her middle name will be starr because that's my middle name and it's a family name that's been passed down. so for first name here are a few i like:

-Haylie, -Kira, -Peyton, -Lily, -Savannah, -Emma, -Kelsea, -Kaylie, -Mallory, -Riley, -Taryn, -Teya, -Carmen, -Madison, -Roxanne, and -Gianna.

please let me know which of those you like with the middle name of starr. thanks!!!

i think the ones that would sound the best with the mn Starr are: Haylie, Kira, Kelsea, Kaylie, Madison.....my fav of those is Madison or Kaylie Starr.

just in case i throw one out there you and the father haven't discussed, here are some more names:

annika, brinley, kylah, kennedy, paige, chloe, cadence, victoria (tori), ella, farrah, jacey, zoey.

best wishes...and you are NOT alone. my dh and i couldn't agree on anything either! took a while, but we found a name we both loved. naming just isn't as easy as i thought it would be!

OK, well since you are looking for somewhat unique names, I would eliminate some of the names that are ultra-popular: Emma, Haylie, and Madison. Kaylie and Riley are becoming more popular I believe. Lily and Kelsea are somewhat popular, but less so.

Out of the remaining names, I LOVE Mallory, and I think Mallory Starr sounds great! My second choice would be Kira, but I would spell it Keira. Keira Starr is cute.

Taryn Starr and Peyton Starr also sound great -- they are more modern, trendy sounding names. Gianna is pretty, but it is very ethnic, so I tend to like it with Italian-sounding last names or else non-descript/not overly ethnic last names, so there's no clash.

The only names that I really don't care for that much on your list are:
Carmen, Teya, and Roxanne. I'm not wild about Savannah, but it's ok. I just don't like Savannah Starr together.

So my vote goes to Mallory Starr, with Keira Starr in second place. Hope this helps!

I'm not a huge fan of Starr at all,(It just reminds me of an adult film star, but with my first name I could be one too!) but if it is a family name I would use it anyway. And as I repeat these names, it is really growing on me!!

I like
Haylie Starr
Kira Starr
Kaylie Starr
Gianna Starr

With such a unique middle I think the first needs to be more unique, not traditional like Emma or Savannah.

Good Luck

I think if you want unique names that you should avoid Hailey, Emma, and Madison like the plague. All are very popular and overused IMO.

the others
Kira - cute name, works with Starr, prefer the Keira spelling though
Peyton - NMS, think of it still as a boy's name
Lily - love this name!
Savannah - cute, but don't like the alliteration w/ Starr
Kelsea - NMS, and really don't like this spelling
Kaylie - a little too cutesy for me, have a hard time seeing this on an adult
Mallory - very cute and underused
Riley - a little too trendy and unisex for me, but better than Peyton
Taryn - I like this
Carmen - NMS, makes me think of Carmen Miranda
Roxanne - NO, not pretty. Police song
Gianna - okay I guess depending on your last name

I think Haylie Starr goes together really well. I also like Savannah Starr. Savannah was one of my favorite girl names, but I'm having a boy!

I like Carmen Starr or Kira Starr.

Also, Chandra Starr (Chandra means moon goddess so the meanings fits well too.)

I love your choices in names! I think the following sound best with Starr:

Haylie
Kira
Kelsea
Riley
Taryn
Teya

With my personal favorite being Kelsea Starr.

Good luck!
