I'm not trying to be negative at all (though I'm hoping you already know that from previous posts ), but I wouldn't use either of these with your girls.

Mackenzie is another "ken__ee" name like Kennedy's. Too similar for me.

McKinley is yet another Presidential surname, and unless Hunter's up for election soon this seems an overly-obvious, odd sib set. It's also just as similar to Kennedy as far as sound goes, both having the nearly identical Kin/Ken sounds at the beginning and "ee" endings.

Not to mention the fact that both these options have prominent K sounds like Carter and Kennedy, again leaving Hunter out in the cold, and the "son of" Mc/Mac- merely being prefixes, these might as well be K names too.

To be honest, if I heard this sib set, or even just Kennedy and Mackenzie or McKinley together, I'd assume the parents were simply following the trends and didn't put that much thought into the names they'd chosen. I only say that because I know the exact opposite is true in your case, at least from what your other posts have indicated, so neither really seems to be what you've been looking for, KWIM?

ITA with Kelli... neither seem like the best choice.

I don't want to hurt your feelings, but I don't really like either of the choices, mostly for reasons the pp already mentioned.

It's not my baby, so of course, go with whatever name you love. If it were me though, I'd keep looking and keep giving DH more name ideas.

Good Luck-

I'd go with McKinley out of those two... Girl, don't feel bad. My DH won't agree to anything! It's so hard. If it was just me naming my baby he'd have had a name a loooong time ago! Hugs!!

I would have to say that McKinley would be my choice. I think I like it because it is less common than Mackenzie. I understand where you are coming from . . . my husband won't agree to anything. He likes super common names and I don't :) When I was pregnant with Preston I told him, "I will just tell the nurses at the hospital I don't know who the father is. That way I will name him what I want." I guess I was very hormonal at that moment :) But, it worked . . . . he finally gave in :) Best wishes!!

Leslie :)

Of the two I my vote goes to Mackenzie Brooke Anderson. I know that you are frustrated, but I wanted to give you AND your DH might some possible alternatives: McKay and Micah. You can also spell McKay - Machae - if you are feeling bold. Micah Brooke Anderson is really great and it goes so well the girls.

I just don't want you to settle!

I like McKinley better, but if you use it 3 of your girls would have presidents' names (kennedy, carter, mckinley) and hunter would be the odd name out. good luck:)
