Do you think it is ok to use a first name and a last name that end in the same letter? Our last name is Walton and some of the names we like are:

Hayden

Ian

Holden

and a few other names ending in -n-

do you think this is ok, or should we stay away from doing this because it sounds repetative? Appreciate your feedback

I don't like the sound of it when the FN and LN end in the same letter. Also all of those names are 2 syllables like your last name so it can sound lind of sing songy as well. As much as I like all of your names, I would look for names that didn't end in an N if I were you.

What would your opinion be of Jarrett Walton?

I'd have to agree with the other post ... although I really like all those names, they do sound a little repetitive with your last name. (Trust me, I've run across the same problem with ours -- McCormick pretty much rules out anything ending in, or sometimes even containing, the "-ick" sound).

I think Jarrett Walton sounds fine (and I've always like that name, by the way). :) HTH

My last name also ends in an -n- and we named our daughter Madison. It was our first and only choice so I was using it regardless, but I never even thought about it until after she was born.

As far as similar endings go, I think as long as both names don't have the same nuber of syllables, it's fine, otherwise it can get a bit singsongy.

I like Jarrett Wilson, it sounds good together and Jarrett's got an energy to it that's appealling. :)

I think Ian Walton sounds okay, but I'd stay away from the others.
