Hi,
Anybody know of any formal names besides Calista that can use the nn Cali? Callie? Cally? I'm having a brain freeze and it's stuck on Calista. Any suggestions are very welcome!
TIA

I appreciate the ideas. :) Lots to think about. I like Calianne, too. Is Calianna too much? DH isn't really into anything too unique, so I'm not sure he'll go for it.
Thanks so much :)
My 5 y/o daughter has a girl in her class whose name is Callie. Not short for anything, just Callie.
How about Calla as in calla lily (gorgeous flowers, a convincing-sounding name) or Callia, Greek for "beautiful"?
Speaking of Greek names, it's probably dead in the water, though it seems a disservice to not mention Caliope.
And there's the option of taking a Kal name and making it a Cal name. Cayla or Calene or the like.
If you really want to stretch it, Callie is a cute nickname for Michaela (or McKayla or Macayla, I suppose).
Lastly, Accalia was foster mother to Remus and Romulus, founders of Rome. It's a pretty name that reminds me of Amelia, but more unique despite its depth of history.
Good luck!
I also know a Callie who that is her given name
the only one of the possible choices I like is Calista
I think Calianna is actually better than just Callianne
also Caleena would be a possibility I guess.
good luck
