Frances Jane will have a sibling

I am expecting baby #2 in May 2007. Our first child is named Frances Jane after both of my grandmothers. I need names that we can use for the next one. I am a teacher, so I tend to veto a lot of names because they remind me of someone I taught. I do not care for trendy names. I prefer "old-fashioned" names. I do not know the gender of the next one (and we won't until May).
Here are some names I like:
Margaret (my grandmother's sister)
Anne (My middle name, my aunt's name)
Katherine (My gmother's first name)

Henry (husband's grandfather)
Winston (my grandfather)
Dominic (husband's grandfather's middle name)

Any suggestions?

I think Margaret Katherine is nice as is Henry Winston. I would stick with family names since DD1 has one it's nice and that way the new DD/S doesn't feel left out(especially if it is a girl, boys don't care as much about those things imho).

Thanks! I really like the idea of sticking with family names. Is there a good way to find out the middle names of relatives while you are pregnant without implying that you want to use it? I'd hate to ask and then have that person expect to be honored.

I like Margaret Anne and Dominic Winston. Do you use nick names for your children? In regards to asking family members their mn, it is the holidays so when/if you see them just say "I can't believe I never known your mn, what is it" :)

To find out mn's, you could always start doing a family tree. Then when you run into a relative just ask for their full name for your project. You will probably also learn the names of other relations that you may not have known. Not to mention interesting stories. And when you're done, you have a written legacy for your children.

I'm sure they've all been mentioned, but I love Margaret Anne, Anne Margaret, Anne Katherine, Henry Winston and Dominic Henry from your family names. ;) You may also like Gretchen or Greta as alternatives to Margaret (if you want more options).

First, let me say, I LOVE Frances Jane. It is my mother's given name (Frances Jane) and you just never hear Frances anymore. So, kudos on that one!

I vote for either Margaret Anne or Henry Winston this time. Katherine is pretty but very common now. Margaret still has that old fashioned, unexpected quality. And Henry? It was my Dad's name. We have a lot in common.

Wow, Frances Jane is gorgeous. With Frances, I love Margaret. The nn's Greta and Maggie are adorable. Margaret Anne is my favourite.

I also like these names with Frances:

Henrietta nn Etta

Winifred

Lenore

Audrey

As for boys, I love all your choices. I think Henry works best as it is closest in style with Frances. Frances Jane and Henry Dominic is my favourite combo.
