Hey Ladies,
DH and I are going to start TTC in January, and we have gone over and over lots of names, but a few stick out more than others. I just want to run the rest by you and see if you have any opinion. Now, to me, the meaning of the name is just as important as the name sounds. I've passed up a few names where I liked the sound of the name, but I didn't like the meaning. Also, I'm black, and my husband is white, and I was thinking of a first and middle name that was multicultural to reflect our children's multicultural background.
So my favorites are:
Girl #1: Anaya Dawn (African: Look Up to God, Greek: Divine, Sunrise)
Girl #2: Adellle Ayanna (German: Noble, Kind; African: Beautiful Flower)
Boy #1: Christian Jean (English: Of the Christian Faith, Celtic/Gaelic: God is Gracious) and CJ for short
Boy #2: Jayden Elliot

Other double short names for you- Mia Rae, Sarah Kelli, Leah Brooke, Shae Kerriss (love this name), Faith Marie, Grace Anne, Hope Leigh--- I'll think of more later. And by the way, totally get your meaning with Robert/Rob/Robin. Scratch it and move on! Take care, Ginger P.S. What about Jesslyn Brielle?
I think the girl names you picked are strikingly beautiful!
I've been a tremendous fan of Ayanna (Aiyanna) for a long, LONG time! Anaya is also quite beautiful!
I do think I like Ayanna Adelle rather than the other way around, and Anaya Dawn is just...wonderful! :-) I woud say just stop there, but I know, there are so many beautiful names to choose from, it makes it hard to pick! :-)
For your husband's suggestion of Christopher Robin...I think that gives a little TOO much homage to a Pooh character...would he consider something similar? What about something like Christopher Tobin?
Well, best of luck to you!
:-)
