Out of these names, which seems the least dated/more classic! For some reason, I like names that were more popular awhile ago, but am worried that the baby will always sound 20 years older than she is/someone's mom (if that makes sense!) Or do you think I should just stay away from these? Thanks.

Jessica
Amanda
Christina
Diana
Laura

I think Diana and Laura are your two most timeless, classic names of the group.

I think from your list, Diana and Laura sound the most classic. Diana has always been a personal favorite of mine. Jessica and Christina are both very pretty too- I don't know if they sound dated. In a way they do- maybe b/c I know people with these names and they are approximately the same age, and I don't know many people with these names that are of younger generations. Good luck, whatever you decide! :)

Diana just really has the most "umph" to me--it's a gorgeous classic, one that I could totally see using. None of the rest are really what I would call "dated," because they're too classic for that, but they're simply not as interesting.

I think Laura is a nice, classic name. I don't think it's outdated at all.

I don't think Jessica sounds outdated either, but it is my sister's name, and I have two friends named Jessica so maybe that's part of it. They all go mostly by Jess now, but my sister used to be Jessie when we were young.

I also like Diana. It was a friend's younger cousin's name. I always thought it was pretty, and kind of unexpected in a way. She was very spunky. I liked the name on her. This fits in my classic category.

Christina sounds the most towards the outdated direction to

Jessica is the most "dated" - to the 80s

Amanda is very "dated" to the 80s, but it was a classic, if you look back to the 20s, it was used a lot then, then came back for it's 80s rush

Christina is classic, not dated to any era

Diana - kind of dated to the 50s/60s

Laura -

I just replied to your Julie thread where I said that I think 60s-70s names are ready for a comeback.

My sister's name is Laura and I LOVE it. I do not care for Jessica, only bc I've known a MILLION Jessicas...however I haven't heard it at all for the younger set! :)
