Girls name help
6

I'm long time lurker. My first child, a girl, is due on 6/7/2005. I am really having a hard time thinking of names. I grew up with a really common name (Jenny/Jen). They were always having to say Jen C. or something growing up, so I want a little bit more unique name. I also like the idea of a more unisex first name and a really girly middle name. My cousin named her daughter Riley and I really like that but obviously it's taken. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? TIA!

Some gender neutral names are:

Avery, Brooke, Casey, Ashton, Aubrey, Erin, Jade, Jamie, Justine, Kelsey, Jordan, Shelby

What about Brooke Danielle, Aubrey Grace, Erin Marissa, Jordan Gabriella or Shelby Colleen (this is my DD name, I had to throw that in!!)??

I tend to like a more girly fn with a more unisex nn rather than a unisex fn. I feel that way if she wants, especially when she is older, she has a more feminine name to use.

Charlotte (nn Charlie)
Samantha (nn Sam)
Natalie (nn Nat)
Georgia/Georgiana (Georgie)
Theodora (Teddy)

Otherwise, some of my juat plain favorite girl names are:
Elise
Delaney
Lila
Greta
Noelle
Nora
Sadie
Sabrina
Tess/Tessa
Lucy
Bridget
Piper
Taryn
Ava/Ada

I tend to like the girls names that can have a boy NN. When she is older - she will be able to use her short nn or her feminine name.
Alexandra ( nn Alex, Ally)
Samantha (nn Sam)
Francesca (nn Frankie)
Natalie (nn Nat)
Charlotte (nn Charlie)
Georgia (nn Georgie)
Melanie (nn Mel)
Theresa (nn Terry/Tessi/Tessa)
Patrice/Patricia (nn Pat/Patty)

Otherwise, some of my favorite girl names are:
Gabriella
Elizabeth
Nicole
Noelle
Isabella
Phoebe
Sabrina
Tess/Tessa

Best of luck to you,
Donna
