So, it came to me one day that if you mix up the letters of my last name (Giles) you could spell Gisel... would that be a cruel thing to do to a little girl?

Honestly, even without the last name it doesn't look as appealing as the standard spelling.

In Brazil Giselle is pronounced Giselly, with the long e at the end.

I would probably keep the traditional spelling and then you can decide if you want the Brazilian or American pronunciation (Gisel).
