This will be my moms first grandchild and she doesn't want to be called grandma. Do you have any suggestions of any cute names for her or a webiste that might say?

We let my parents pick their own "grandparent" names, since we were the first on each side to have children (oldest in both families LOL). My mom and dad chose Nana and Poppy (although our oldest already changed that to Poppa), and his parents chose Gramma Joy (and insisted on Joy, but our oldest has shortened that to just Gramma already LOL) and Grampa. I also have a Nanny, Pop Pop, Pappy, Nonna (Non-ah ... Italian) and Grammy, and friends use Oma and Opa, I believe, which is cute. HTH! :)

My father in law is called Papa by most of his grandkids.
It isn't up to her. It's up to you. Either way, the baby will call her what he wants later on. Ask me how I know? My grandmother's name is Memere because we are French and my daughter called my mother Memere until she reached 5 years old and asked why she didn't have a grandma like her friends. From that day forward, she called my mother Grand Ma and she calls my grandmother Grand Ma Great.
Tell your mother this. There are a few billion women on this earth and out of the millions and billions of women, ONLY one gets to be called Grand Ma by your child usually as familys opt for nana for the other one...That child will love her Grand ma forever and will want to call her that.
