Hello everyone...I just joined and would like to ask your opinion for my dilemma
I am 27 weeks along and chose the name for my daughter a couple of months ago...Teaghyn Rose
My mother absolutely hates it!! She says that the baby will hate the name and hate me. I have two other daughters...their names are Bryanna Marie and Kaelyn Michelle. My mom says that in the end I will be setting Teaghyn apart from her sisters because her name is so different from theirs but I don't think that the names Bryanna and Kaelyn really have much in common except for the y (which I am including in Teaghyn's name).
My mom thinks it sounds like a boy name and cannot be used for a girl. She gets so upset about it that if the name is brought up she leaves the room.
I feel like I had to get her approval for the naming of my first two daughters and it is really bothering her that I am sticking to my guns on this one.
I'm really stressed out about it...please HELP!!!

I agree with the previous posters who prefer the Teagan spelling. However, if you presonally love the Teaghyn spelling - go for it.
More creative spellings have both positives and negatives. My bother's fiancee's name is Meggan, and she likes the spelling b/c it sets her apart, but it does get annoying at times for her b/c she always has to remind people how to spell it.
Kaitlin, mommy to: Elijah Patrick (10), Emma Cass (7), and Millie Grace (5 days!!!!!!)
If you came to the board and asked for suggestions to go with Bryanna and Kaelyn, Teagan is one of the names I probably would have suggested.
