After much debating after he was born, we named our third son:

~*~*Joshua Vincent*~*~

Vincent being the mn of my brother and my great-grandfather's first name.

While trying to decide, we went thru Seth, Joel, Joshua, and DH was even trying to convince me of using Vincent as his first name. Several of the names on our short list were not even mentioned because we felt he didn't fit those names at all (Ethan, Camden, Evan, ect.) Overall we both agreed that Joshua Vincent seemed to fit him best.

I want to thank everyone who helped me in my several month long quest for name ideas! I just loved having this board to use.

And a quick note to everyone out there.....when you are a Mom having your third baby, don't minimize your pain---GO TO THE HOSPITAL quickly!!!! This little guy was almost born in the car as we barely made it to the hospital in time.

Thanks again!!!

Congratulations!!!!

I'm so excited for you. Joshua Vincent is perfect -- you know I've had a soft spot for Joshua all along. I hope you're recovering quickly and settling in well. Are the boys in love with their baby brother?

Everyone here is doing well. It does seem like Aaron (2.5 yrs), who we have been struggling to potty train, is regressing a bit in that area since we have been home though! I warned the DH that I thought it was going to happen, and it has!

Congratulations, Theresa! ;) So glad he's here and everyone's doing well. (Nice to hear about the quick delivery, too, since you know we're also expecting our third and "well-meaning" people keep telling us how third babies take forever, for some reason LOL). Take care and enjoy your new little guy! :)

Congratulations! I'm glad you picked the perfect name for him. How much did he weigh and how long was he?

Theresa,

Congratulations!!
Joshua Vincent is a very handsome name, I'm sure it fits him perfectly.
By the way, my third was born 45 minutes after I arrived at the hospital,(even quicker than my 4th) so Kelli, my belief is that 3rd babies come quickly too. Anybody know about 5th babies?? lol.

By the way, my daughter was 2 years 2 months when my son was born so we didn't even bother starting to toilet training her until almost three (don't worry it will happen- and long before kindergarten- promise :-)

Don't believe them about third babies taking forever! I had him within 15-20 minutes of getting into the hospital. Most of that time was them telling me to breath and not to push yet! My contractions started at 6am and were painful, but not long and the time varied from 2 minutes apart to 10, so I just didn't think they were "regular" enough to warrant an early trip to the hospital. They continued to increase in pain intensity and I finally decided I should go in. Once in that car, I was yelling at the DH to drive faster or we would be having this baby on the expressway! It was just like what you see on the movies or TV...racing down the hall with me on the gurney, the breathing (panting), and a few pushes later, he was here!

So take this advice, don't wait too long! I will say this, I had an epidural for the previous 2 births and nothing with this one. I PREFER the NON-epidural birth. Yes, it was pain as I have never known (and I consider myself someone who has a high pain tolerance!) but afterwards was great. There was no residual "hang-over" feeling and I felt like myself. Even Ryan kept commenting on how much better I looked and was acting with no epidural. So if we do decide to go for #4, I would for sure try to go no meds again!

How much longer for you??? Getting so close!

Oh.....guess I should have put that in there! He was a hefty 9 lbs 3oz and was 21 1/2 inches long. Most people see him and think he looks like he is 1 month old already cause he is big. Newborn diapers were tight on him from the start and he is already in the next size up. Newborn clothes won't fit him so the clothes I took to the hospital for him were too small, but at lease I had one outfit that fit him--snugly, but it still fit! My other two boys were 7lbs 10oz and 8lbs 4oz so he was by far my biggest!
