help! 37 weeks and we need names!

hey everyone,
my DH and I are looking for Christian meanings, but not necessarily biblical boys and girl names...we were going with Annah and Nevan (which means Holy), but now DH isn't sure of Nevan, and I'm not sure of Annah because I'm afraid she'll get called Annie, which I don't really like (bad association for me).
Help!

Not sure what your ethnic background is, but if the spelling Annah doesn't have special meaning for you, I'd go with Anna. That way, she won't have to spell her name constantly for the rest of her life (take it from an Alison with one "l") and she can find things with her name.
As for Nevan, I'm not sure if this is meant to be a boy's name or girl's name. Don't love it for either.
In terms of looking for Christian names, I think if you open up a baby name book, you'll find that so many of the names have meanings related to God or holiness or grace. There's a lot to choose from that are pretty or handsome established names.
If you like Annah, please don't let the possibility of nicknames keep you from using it. Some people will use a nickname no matter what, but most people will use the name you tell them.
For instance, my friend Deborah gets called Deb by some people that don't know her well, but when she gently corrects them and says "It's Deborah, not Deb", they generally respect that and call her by her chosen name.
Good luck!
